Zeb-U-Nisa:  She has a Master Degree in Political Science from University of Peshawar in 2000 with more than Zeb has over sixteen (16) years of professional experience in programme development, management and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), and multi-sector coordination in Social Sector development and Disaster Risk Management. She has developed M&E framework for development and reconstruction and rehabilitation programmes and projects in the country and also conducted benchmark, midterm assessments, outcomes and impact evaluation of programmes/ projects both for development and humanitarian sectors. She has hands on experience in participatory and institutional development with major focus on capacity building for institutionalizing DRM/DRR for effective response and management of natural and human induced disasters. Throughout her professional life, she has been coordinating/ liaising with Government institutions at national, provincial and district levels; donor funded programmes and projects, as well as wide range of non- Government entities and grass roots level community organizations in both development and humanitarian context for potential collaboration and supplementing their efforts.


She has worked closely with parliamentarians, media, academia and business community for promotion of sustainable development and DRR in Pakistan. She has designed, planned, implemented national, provincial and regional level development programmes/projects on productive and social sector. Resource mobilization remained is one of her core competencies and has substantive contribution in financial resource mobilization for program implementation, institutional capacity building and promotion of community’s engagement in Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT), DRM/DRR and development interventions in the country. A number of development partners, including DFID, USAID, AusAID, SDC, SIDA, CIDA World Bank, Asian Development Bank, IMF, JICA, UNISDR; UN agencies, philanthropic organizations, national / international NGOs and private sector organizations were mobilized to support together with the Government of Pakistan for mainstreaming DRR and social protection into educational CCT programmes. She has expertise of undertaking projects in the field of micro financing, entrepreneurial skill development, sustainable livelihood, and community based disaster risk management, climate change adaptation and DRR as well as gender mainstreaming. She is currently working as free-lance Consultant with Ministry of Climate Change, Islamabad.
